Frequently Asked Questions about New York Cruises

We've covered everything for you

Which rivers does the cruise in New York pass through?

Answer: Manhattan is surrounded by three rivers - the Hudson River, the East River, and the Harlem River. Almost all cruises you’ll find in New York sail along both the Hudson and the East Rivers, as that’s where most of the city’s main landmarks are located such as the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, One World Trade Center, and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.

The Harlem River, on the other hand, is considered less popular for cruising in New York, but there are cruises that do a full circle around Manhattan and pass through it as well. One well-known cruise that includes the Harlem River is the Best of NYC Cruise by Circle Line, which sails around the entire island in a two-and-a-half-hour journey.
