NYC Circle Line Cruise with City Pass: This Is How You Do It

By:Jessica Wilson

Earlier, we talked about how you can buy a New York sightseeing cruise at a discount with the Go City Pass. Today, I want to speak about another popular NY attractions discount card - the ‘New York CityPASS’.

Unlike the ‘Go City’ that includes more than 110 attractions, the ‘New York CityPASS‘ includes only 10 attractions in New York, including the popular sightseeing cruise by Circle Line company.

So how exactly does it work? How much does it cost? And what is the full attractions list? Let’s get into the details to book a cruise in New York with CityPASS.

New York CityPASS - How Does it Work?

CityPASS offers 3 types of tickets - New York C3, New York CityPASS and New York C-All. Each of the tickets lets you choose a different number of attractions in New York from the full CityPASS attractions list, which are:

  • Empire State Building Observatory
  • Top of the Rock Observation Deck
  • Ferry Access to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
  • 9/11 Memorial & Museum
  • Edge at Hudson Yards
  • American Museum of Natural History
  • Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises
  • The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
  • Intrepid Museum
  • Guggenheim Museum

Here are the differences between the 3 types of CityPASS tickets:

New York C3 - The New York C3 lets you choose any 3 of the 10 attractions.

New York CityPASS - The New York CityPASS includes 5 attractions. 2 are fixed (Empire State Building Observatory and American Museum of Natural History) plus 3 of your choice.

New York C-All - The New York C-All lets you visit all 10 attractions included.

Note that CityPASS offers additional perks - AM/PM Empire State Building access with bonus same-night entry and includes the popular Landmarks Cruise, while C3 and C-All provide daytime-only Empire State access and exclude the Landmarks Cruise option.

All Tickets are valid for a 9-day period starting on and including the first day you visit an attraction or have a reservation.

After you buy the ticket, you can download the CityPASS app (My CityPASS), where you can find all the information about the attractions, or make reservations ahead of time (if required).

How Much Does it Cost?

Currently, the New York C3 price is $109, the New York CityPASS is $154 and the New York C-All is $239. Please note that prices are subject to change. You can book all the ticketse here.

How Much Can You Save?

According to CityPASS calculations, you can save up to 40% with the New York C3, up to 41% with the New York CityPASS and up to 42% with the New York C-All.

Which Cruises Are Included in the CityPass Tickets?

All three CityPASS tickets include one Circle Line cruise, but the options vary by ticket type. CityPASS offers 4 cruise choices: Landmarks Cruise (90 min), Liberty Midtown Cruise (60 min), Liberty Super Express (50 min), or Statue at Sunset (90 min scenic). C3 and C-All tickets include only 3 options, excluding the popular Landmarks Cruise.
