If you’re planning to take a cruise in New York along with other attractions, there’s a great way to get a discount with the ‘New York Go City’ pass card. This is a very popular method among tourists here in NYC that can make visiting New York’s attractions easier and cheaper.
So how exactly does it work? How much can you save? What attractions and cruise types does it include? Let’s dig into all the details so you can make your informed decision.
Go City offers two types of passes - the Explorer Pass and the All-Inclusive Pass.
Explorer Pass - The Explorer Pass lets you choose between 2 to 10 attractions you want to visit. After activating your first attraction, you will have 30 days to visit the rest.
All-Inclusive Pass - The All-Inclusive Pass lets you visit unlimited attractions within 1 to 10 days. Each day of your pass ends at midnight so you can try to squeeze in as many attractions as possible in one day or spread your visits out over several days.
After you choose your pass, you will need to download the Go City app (available on the App Store or Google Play). There you’ll find all the information you need to start planning your sightseeing.
The process is pretty straightforward. Simply scan your digital pass from the app at each attraction entrance - there’s no need for printed tickets. For certain popular attractions like the Empire State Building or Top of the Rock, you’ll need to make reservations in advance through the Go City portal (you can access this through the app).
Currently, Explorer Pass prices start from $89 for 2 attractions and go up to $299 for 10 attractions. The All-Inclusive Pass prices start from $164 for 1 day and reach $414 for 10 days. Please note that prices are subject to change. Always check the official Go City website for the most current rates.
According to Go City calculations, with the Explorer Pass you can save up to 40% on attractions compared to their original prices, and up to 47% with the All-Inclusive Pass.
